ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
JAMES R. DEAN
James Dean is the Director of Small Business, Air Force Sustainment Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He is responsible for establishing policy for the center’s small business and source development programs and for managing and overseeing daily program operations supporting procurement activities for AFSC, AFLCMC, and AFNWC.
Before joining civil service in the Air Force, Mr. Dean served 22 years active duty Air Force, retiring in 2009. He initially was an Inventory Management Specialist and later retrained into the Contracting career field in 1999. Mr. Dean has served in the United States Air Forces Europe, Tactical Air Command, Air Combat Command, Air Force Special Operations Command, and Air Force Materiel Command. His major deployments include: King Abdul Aziz Air Base, Saudi Arabia in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm; Baghdad International Airport, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; and Headquarters Kosovo Force, Kosovo in support of Operation Joint Guardian.
Parking Instructions:
If you are driving, please park in the west side of the parking lot at the Chamber building. When you arrive, proceed to the left/west (monthly and validated parking) area and take a ticket and pass through the yellow parking gate. We’ll provide validations upstairs at the front desk. Please do not enter on the right/east side and park in the two rows closest to the building or you will have to pay in advance and we will not be able to validate your parking.
We encourage you to take Trax and help keep our air clean. Please use the Library Square stop on the red line to arrive at the Salt Lake Chamber offices.
