\n| Heidi Lund is a community leader and advocate who strives to be a part of creating systemic change and disrupting cycles of intergenerational poverty. As the current Director of Family Support Center'\;s LifeStart Village\, she works directly with families exiting substance abuse\, homelessness\, and domestic violence. \n \n Despite the many challenges she has been presented with in life\, Heidi continues to push forward with resilience and determination. Using her personal story\, Heidi empowers others on their road to recovery. \n \n Heidi is an active member in her community and is a huge believer in giving back to those organizations who have supported her story along the way. She is an active volunteer\, speaker\, and serves on several boards and committees. In her spare time she enjoys traveling\, volunteering\, watching sports\, and creating memories with her two children. | \n
\n\nThe Family Support Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency dedicated to strengthening families through providing education\, resources\, and support to alleviate stress and diffuse the possibility of domestic violence and abuse. \;Family Support Center began in 1977 through a collaboration between the Junior League of Salt Lake City and the Utah Association for Children'\;s Therapy (U-ACT). The founding project was the Crisis Nursery located in Sugar House. It was established in response to a pressing need for short-term crisis and respite care for children at risk for abuse or neglect. Since 1977\, the Nursery program has expanded to include 2 additional locations in Midvale and West Valley City. Over the years\, the Family Support Center has carefully changed\, added\, and expanded programs to meet the dynamic needs of our community. \;
