DESCRIPTION:Ever pondered how lucky we are to live in a City with trees\, flowers\, grass\, and open space?  Join us on Saturday\, June 9 from 10 am – 12 pm to help weed the islands along 500 West\, near the Gateway Mall.  These islands are a focal point for people coming and going from the City and are seen by thousands of people each year.  No experience is necessary and all supplies are provided.  Volunteers should bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen or a sun hat.  Register online at www.myvolunteerpage.com or RSVP to Savannah Wake at savannah.wake@slcgov.com or 801-535-6202.
