DESCRIPTION:This training provides an introduction to demographic concepts through a Utah lens. We compare aspects of Utah's population   including age\, race\, and households   with the nation and the intermountain west. We also discuss data sources\, potential challenges with data\, and how national programs interact with local population work being conducted at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute.\n\n\n\nCurrent students who wish to attend are eligible for a fee waiver and may email us directly at gardnerinstitute@eccles.utah.edu. Attendees who wish to sign up multiple guests should also email us directly. If an attendee registers but is unable to attend\, a refund will be granted if they notify Gardner Institute staff one week prior to the training.
