DESCRIPTION:The Lunch and Learn Series is a collaboration between the Women's Business Center and the Professional Education Department at the University of Utah\, bringing a taste of higher education to the small business owners in our community.\n\n\n\nEnjoy a networking lunch as you continue to improve your skills and enhance your knowledge of the business world.\n\n\n\nDuring this training we will have a discussion on how to put finance back into your business. This will include talking about budgets\, ratios\, and the business lifecycle.\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION CLOSES ON 3/24/2017\n\n\n\nAbout the presenter:\n\n\n\nJerry L. Basford\, Ph.D.\n\nAssociate Vice President for Student Affairs\, University of Utah\n\n\n\nDoctor Basford has been involved with finances and financial management for the past thirty years.  He has spent the better part of his life as a financial analyst for profit and not-for-profit organizations serving on the board of directors for credit unions\, little leagues\, and sole proprietor companies as well as being the senior analyst for Fortune 500 organizations. He teaches personal finance courses as an adjunct instructor in the Business School and Family & Consumer Studies at the University of Utah as well as being the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs that oversees the budget and budget process for the division.\n\n\n\n\n\nParking Instructions:\n\nIf you are driving\, please park in the west side of the parking lot at the Chamber building. When you arrive\, proceed to the left/west (monthly and validated parking) area and take a ticket and pass through the yellow parking gate. We?ll provide validations upstairs at the front desk. Please do not enter on the right/east side and park in the two rows closest to the building or you will have to pay in advance and we will not be able to validate your parking. \n\nPlease not that we are not able to guarantee parking for everyone in our lot.\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to take Trax and help keep our air clean.
