Gardner Policy Institute announces its next Newsmaker Breakfast\, a monthly event highlighting important issues impacting Utah.\n\n\n\nNational research shows Utah is among a group of states with the highest prevalence of child and adolescent mental health disorders\, and the highest prevalence of youth with untreated mental health needs. Early intervention is a key component to addressing these needs\, which may be exacerbated as a result of COVID-19 and other various risk factors.\n\n\n\nJoin researchers\, local experts\, and health care professionals for a discussion on what is being done to address the important issue of early childhood mental health in Utah and how the state can help maximize health\, opportunity\, and public investment outcomes. The Gardner Institute will also release a report on Early Childhood Mental Health in Utah that provides a foundation for ongoing discussions about how to improve access to early childhood mental health services.\n\n\n\nThe event is co-sponsored by The Children's Center and will be moderated by Gardner Institute senior health care analyst Laura Summers.
