DESCRIPTION:Affleck Park is a pristine area surrounded by beautiful shade trees.  Come help preserve the shade for park visitors.  Volunteers are needed to wrap the bases of large Cottonwood trees with chicken wire in an attempt to mitigate tree felling/ damage due to increased beaver activity in the area.  Volunteers must bring water\, sunscreen\, sun protection\, bug spray\, food\, work boots and pants.  Those interested in volunteering for this project should contact to Savannah Wake at savannah.wake@slcgov.com or 801-535-6202. This event does not have a scheduled date.  It will take place on a weekday.
