Organizations from across the global innovation ecosystem have built on similar data to create descriptive models and platforms that develop a deeper understanding of COVID-19. Those predictive models have become more sophisticated as vast troves of data secured from varied sources - including social and news media\, medical research and hospital records - expose new indicators to track the virus spread and recovery. \n\n\n\nWhile technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have been monumental to these insights\, obtaining reliable data at scale continues to be a priority.
