Guest speakers including: Alan Ormsby: State Director of Utah for AARP, Dr. John Shavers: Coordinator of ‘Eyeglasses for Uganda' project, Dr. Michael Foster: Veterans Representative, Peggy de Azevedo: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, James Ramera: Expert in Social Security and Financial matters, Wally Greenfield: lost 187 lbs. in 15 months, Mi Yon Hodges: Encore Institute Manager at Salt Lake Community College. Panel discussions, opportunity to sign up for volunteer projects and activities around the Salt Lake valley, break-out sessions in such areas as Retirement Planning and Financial Independence; Veterans Benefits; Looking, Feeling and Being at Your Physical Best; and training and educational opportunities for 50 plus are some event highlights. A You Tube video created by a Salt Lake Community College student with Dr. John Shavers on ''Eyeglasses for Uganda'' project will also be shared. Bring your old eyeglasses, sunglasses and reading glasses! You'll receive $2 off the admission fee for each pair of glasses you donate.
