Nearly 90% of consumers live outside the U.S. and two-thirds of the world's purchasing power is in foreign countries. Join us on Wednesday, May 28th for an information presentation from a company that is currently exporting products from Salt Lake City to outside the U.S. and has personal experience with the step by step process it takes to take your service or product outside of the U.S. When asked about what first drew her to being an entrepreneur, she said she loved being able to create new market opportunities, share her experiences with people and most importantly learn from them.

Aurora Mendez:
Aurora Méndez acquired in 2006 an undergraduate degree in International Business. It was during her studies that she had a chance to visit the Handelshochschule Leipzig in Germany for 2 semesters, which exposed her to the European business environment.
As a master graduate in International Trade Relations, she had the opportunity to live in Geneva, Switzerland for a year and a half. This experience as well as her participation in projects in other international organizations such as UNCTAD and WTO has given her a broader view of the world and the ability to adapt to a different culture.
Her work experience includes having worked for the Mexican-German Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City in the development of future business opportunities between Mexico and Germany. Among the most important projects she has developed, it could be mentioned the creation of tailored market studies for various Mexican and German SMEs as well as the implementation of different programs aimed at the attraction of FDI in the country. She has also organized and coordinated business agendas and bilateral trade forums between Mexico and Germany.
Furthermore, she has also collaborated in the coordination of events held by the “EUROCAM”, The European Chambers of Commerce in Mexico (France, Germany, UK, Italy, Switzerland, Holland and Spain) which ultimate purpose is to foster trade between Mexico and the European Union.
When she isn’t working on a project, Aurora dedicates her time to her gourmet honey business she started 2 years ago. As a young entrepreneur, she is constantly looking for new markets, as well as for new ideas to improve the customer´s satisfaction.
