2017 Governor's Utah Energy Development Summit
The Governor's Office of Energy Development is pleased to announce the fifth annual Utah Energy Development Summit. This year’s event will host over one hundred expert speakers from around the country, as well as elected officials and energy industry leaders. The 2017 Summit will address regional issues, encouraging the participation of energy professionals from throughout the Intermountain West.
The first day of the 2017 Summit will include an evening reception with an energy-related trade show with vendors and an opening panel. The second day will be a full exhibit day and will include a full technical presentation including the Governor’s address, keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and trade show exhibits.
In 2012 the Office of Energy Development hosted the first annual Utah Energy Development Summit, hosting approximately 1,000 attendees in its first year, and drawing dozens of industry sponsors. The Summit was a great success, serving as a meeting place and display case for business, an educational opportunity for non-profits and the public, and a policy-incubator for state legislators and others. The Summit grew to 1,200 attendees in its second year (2012), and again received high praise from all those involved, including Utah’s federal delegation. Moving forward, OED will continue to host the Summit, with the objective of securing its place as the region’s most important and productive energy conference. OED could not make this phenomenal event happen without the continued generosity of its partners, both in industry and in government.
