Cody Neville is the 8(a) Program Manager for the SBA’s Utah District Office in Salt Lake City, Utah and loves helping people start, grow, expand, and manage their business.
He has spent the majority of his career in the Business Development and Business Management Industry, gaining experiences in areas such as Logistics, Marketing, Compliance, and Acquisition.
Cody has worked both in the private sector with companies such as Target Corporation and Luxottica, and in the Government sector for the Department of Defense and now the Small Business Administration.
While helping small businesses is his primary job function by day, Cody also enjoys traveling to foreign countries, hiking, camping, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Cody can also be found working behind the scenes at Hale Centre Theatre as an automation technician during nights and weekends. He has even made cameo appearances on stage in a variety of roles including a Horse, a Fish, and a fighting townsman.
Raymond Christy
Airport Senior Planner-Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Coordinator
Salt Lake City International Airport
During the past 16 years, Raymond Christy has worked to create opportunities for small businesses seeking contracting opportunities with Utah Transit Authority and now Salt Lake City International Airport (SLCDA). As an Airport Senior Planner DBE Coordinator, Raymond is responsible for establishing the triennial Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) and DBE goal methodology, establishing ACDBE and DBE contract goals, contract monitoring, Joint Venture monitoring, Labor compliance (Davis Bacon regulations) on federally assisted construction contracts and a certifying member of the Utah Unified Certification Program.
Raymond has collaborated with several small business advocacy agencies to increase ACDBE certified in the State of Utah by 85% within two years. Raymond has promoted airport contracting opportunities for small business owners through “lunch box” outreach presentations, as a stakeholder for Utah Bonding Education Program classes, and as a presenter at the State of Utah Purchasing Symposium. In 2017, Raymond collaborated with two national car rental companies to increase awareness for contracting opportunities with ACDBE firms at the national level and the Salt Lake City market.
During his career, Raymond received the 2019 FAA Civil Rights Advocate and Recipient Award, 2018 AMAC Advocate of the Year Award, 2015 Albert B. Fritz Civil Rights Award from the Salt Lake Chapter of the NAACP, 2015 Purple Star Award for Dedicated Volunteer Service to the Epilepsy Association of Utah. In 2006, he received the Small Business Administration Minority Enterprise Development Support Award of the Year. Raymond received the 2005 United States Department of Transportation’s Grant Recipient Award for Utah Transit Authority’s DBE Program. Raymond has served as a Board Member and Chairman of the Board for the Salt Lake County Library System (2006 – 2010). He has also served as a Board Member for the Belle Spafford Advisory Committee, School of Social Work, University of Utah (2004 – 2009). Raymond is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated and a founding chapter member of Iota Iota Iota (Salt Lake City) Graduate Chapter.
