In this workshop you will find that the above concept couldn’t be further from the truth!

A Business Plan is simply a road map of your business and a way to communicate what you do, what your values are, and where you plan to take your business in the future. It is a working, changeable document that helps align your plans to your destination, avoid unforeseen obstacles, helps you examine areas you hadn’t considered, and a way to tell others of your vision.

It can be as simple as a one page description or as long and detailed as you want or need it to be to achieve your purposes. In this workshop, we will help you see your business plan as a tool intended to help you, look at the basic elements that make up a business plan, and actually get you started on writing a plan that you can use.

Debbie Drake is affectionately known as a ‘squirrel girl’ by her close and crazy friends! She has a lot of interests and always wants to learn new things. Debbie has had careers in banking, construction and higher education and has been a home designer, artist and is passionate about helping women being successful in building their businesses and following their dreams. She is currently the Director for Women’s Business Center of Utah in Cedar City and is charged with serving the women business owners in the 15 southern and eastern counties of Utah. The Women’s Business Center of Utah provides free one on one counseling and free or low cost trainings, while helping to encourage, build confidence and create opportunities for women to be successful in their entrepreneurial journey.
