Join us for an engaging event exploring how your voice, vision, and values can influence meaningful change in your community. ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Hoang Nguyen, Utah State Representative, Managing Partner of Sapa Investments, CEO of Dragonfly Wellness
Hoang Nguyen serves as the Managing Partner of Sapa Investments and the Chief Executive Officer of Dragonfly Wellness, a vertically integrated medical cannabis company in Utah. With a strong foundation in people-first leadership, Hoang has dedicated the last decade to developing a culture that empowers individuals to realize both their professional and personal goals. She comes from a long line of female entrepreneurs and believes that putting people first leads to success in any endeavor.

Representative Nguyen's journey began when she and her family arrived in the United States as refugees from Vietnam. Raised on the west side of Salt Lake City, she attended the University of Utah and later earned her MBA. Following graduation, she served on the board of directors for an institution of higher learning for several years, after which she went on to consult with CEOs on strategies for business growth. In 2012, after being encouraged by her family, she returned home to focus on growing the family business. Under her leadership, the company has expanded to mroe than 500 employees with five distinct divisions. For Hoang, the greatest joy has been seeing the longevity of the people in the company and watching them grow, start families, and succeed.

As the Managing Partner of Sapa Investments and CEO of Dragonfly Wellness, Hoang is dedicated to projects such as Food Alley, the Foundry Project, and the Food Hub. Each initiative is designed to foster inclusion, create jobs, and provide pathways for aspiring entrepreneurs, offering both financial support and industry expertise. Upcoming projects include affordable housing developments, effotst o bring fresh food to food deserts, and expanding access to medical cannabis for low-income individuals.

Hoang also serves as the current Chair of the Midtown Business District Board, representing over 500 local businesses in downtown Salt Lake City. Additionally, she is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Gerald E.
