Business Women's Forum 2020: 08/11 Prioritizing Your Well-Being: Why, What and How
Working women can face significant challenges in achieving work-life balance. The pandemic and working from home have blurred the boundaries between everyone's personal and professional lives to an even greater extent. Oftentimes when stress and expectations increase the first thing to go is personal wellness -- regular physical activity, healthy meals, adequate sleep, and social connectedness. Yet we can hardly be at our best at work, or with our family and friends, if we are not intentional about healthy lifestyle behaviors! This presentation will focus on why it is important to prioritize healthy lifestyle behaviors, what those high yield behaviors are, and strategies on how to integrate them into your daily lives.
Join us for this Zoom meeting with a healthy lunch (plan ahead and try out the attached recipe - a family favorite and makes great leftovers), along with a big glass of water. Consider inviting a friend to join you in watching this virtual presentation. Maybe the two of you can embark on change together!
CALL TO ACTION:
One of the Business Women's Forum goals is to influence positive change in our community. This month we are asking our attendees to either donate to Curly Me! so they can buy hair products, shirts, and other fun/encouraging items from small businesses in Utah for the black girls they serve or to join their committee to help with different volunteer projects and events throughout the year. They are looking for help with planning events, finding speakers, and more. Please click here to donate to their organization and email here to apply to be on the committee.
