Comcast Cares Day

This year, Comcast Cares Day will take place on Saturday, April 22. The day will begin with sign-in and breakfast at 7:00 AM and conclude with lunch by 1:00 PM. 

Please join the Salt Lake City Chamber on April 22. You may volunteer for any project below. 

Salt Lake City

Highland High School welcomes 1,000 students, families, community members and corporate partners to help us complete several projects throughout the school. Volunteers will deep clean classrooms, re-organize the sport equipment shed, paint a green screen in the drama classroom, add sparkle to the dull wood throughout the hallways, plant flowers and bushes, and much more! To register, pleas click on the following link. Projects at this location start at 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm due to the marathon route. Registration begins at noon – 1:00 pm.

YWCA of Utah invites the entire community out to join us for Comcast Cares Day at the YWCA Utah. Please join in to help to complete many service projects including re-organizing clothing donations, building shelving, installing new blinds to windows, landscaping, gardening, assembling furniture and much more! Volunteers at this project must be 15 years old or older. To register, please click on the following link. 

The Road Home 800 volunteers will help by homeless residents by cleaning and improving Palmer Court subsidized apartments, sorting donated supplies and beautifying both the interior and exterior of the building. To register for this project click the following link.

Murray City
Boys Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake – Murray Club House is hosting its’ first Comcast Cares Day with 200 volunteers. Participants will help with a variety of revitalization projects, including revamping the Teen Tech Room, grounds clean-up, landscaping, painting the interior and exterior of the campus, stripping and cleaning floors, and deep-cleaning student activity areas. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to receive digital literacy classes and learn more about Comcast’s Internet Essentials program.  To register, please click on the following link.

West Valley City 
Redwood Elementary School 500 volunteers are invited to come help us make a difference by improving the lives of the teachers and students who work at and attend Redwood Elementary. Help the school sparkle by cleaning classrooms, sanitizing desk, clearing debris and garbage from the exterior of the school, washing windows and walls, and much more. Magna City
Cyprus High School will enlist the help of over 800 volunteers to help beautify the interior and exterior of the school. Projects completed on Cares Day will complement the summer renovation project and help to transform the school into a place that students for years to come will enjoy. North Logan City
Location: Greenville Elementary – 2450 N. 400 E. 1,000 volunteers will assemble to complete various beautification projects around the City. Volunteers will help plant 25 trees, install gates and fences, complete various landscaping projects, help with camp ground clean-up, clean trails, and much more! North Ogden City
Location: Parks and Recreation Bldg. – 2705 N. 550 E. Please join for a day of fun and service on Saturday, April 22, 2017! Volunteers will be planting over 25 trees throughout Ogden City, rebuilding the community garden, landscaping, revamping the dog park and much more! Please bring tools and gloves to this event. Odgen City
Location: Miles Goodyear Park – 2452 A. Avenue. Volunteers will be installing a NEW Frisbee course by Fort Buena Ventura. We will also complete several landscaping projects, clean-up the trail by Weber River, and much more! To register for this project click the following link.

Provo City: 
Walden School: 1,000 volunteers will gather to make a lasting impression on the school by helping to build a new outdoor amphitheater with seats included behind the field, building stairway going up the hillside, so that kids can get to class on top of the hill and complete a sports court.
