The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute announces its next Newsmaker Breakfast, a monthly event highlighting issues impacting Utah.
Recently, 25 state legislators authored a Deseret News editorial that discussed possible policy solutions aimed at air quality, conservation, and environmental stewardship. In Washington, Utah's congressional delegation led the formation of the Conservative Climate Caucus, a group of 68 Republicans focused on a range of climate proposals.
Hear state leaders and local experts discuss these recent developments as well as policy solutions under consideration to improve air quality and conservation, with an emphasis on carbon pricing.
The conservation will be moderated by Gardner Institute director Natalie Gochnour. Media are invited to attend and ask questions.
The Newsmaker Breakfast will be held virtually.
