Trent Staggs is the regional advocate for Utah in the SBA's Office of Advocacy. He is a proven leader in both public service and business. After four years on the city council, Trent served as the mayor of Riverton, Utah. He has taken a business-minded approach to municipal government, which has delivered exceptional results that include cutting property taxes, reducing fees, and saving residents tens of millions of dollars. He was also a candidate for U.S. Senate in 2024. Beyond his public sector experience, Staggs has demonstrated executive leadership necessary to successfully manage organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small- and medium-sized enterprises, across the finance, technology, and energy sectors. He recently served on the board of an energy company he helped take public, securing the company with a listing on NASDAQ in 2022.
