Financials 101 - The Basics to Understanding Your Business
Successful strategic planning is based upon understanding the health of your business. And the best place to start is working with your financial statements. But what do you need to know in order to maximize the information they are telling you? To answer this question, the Utah Microloan Fund is sponsoring two virtual workshops: Financials 101 and Financials 201. This two-part series led by Karin Palle with Advanced Business Consulting will focus on the magic of numbers and how to use them to manage and grow your business.
This class will explore the reports you need to manage and grow your business. It will cover:
- What is a P&L, Balance Statement and Cash Flow Statement?
- What should they include?
- How should they be categorized?
- What are they telling you?
- How often should you monitor them?
To maximize the benefits of this class, make sure to have your financial reports ready to ask questions. And if you don't have these reports yet, don't worry. We will walk you through the steps to creating financial reports that make sense for you and your business. To register and receive the link for this virtual class, please click here.
