Getting Your Diversity and Inclusion Program Off the Ground: Bringing HR and Legal Teams Together

Join us for the upcoming webinar Getting Your Diversity and Inclusion Program Off The Ground: Bringing HR and Legal Teams Together, sponsored by the Salt Lake Chamber's Diversity Council.

Many organizations want to create diverse and inclusive workplaces, but don't know where to start or what steps are permissible under the law. The Salt Lake Chamber and SixFifty Technologies have assembled a panel of lawyers and diversity leaders with experience turning good intentions into results. On July 21, they'll discuss how companies can get their diversity and inclusion programs off the ground while complying with the law.

Neelam Chand
CEO and Founder
Shift SLC

Neelam Chand is the CEO and founder of Shift SLC, a diversity and inclusion consulting firm located in Salt Lake City, Utah. With over a decade of D&I experience, Chand has worked with different industries ranging from higher education to financial services and tech startups to break down systemic barriers and design a more equitable workplace environment.

Chand is a member of the Utah Governor's Martin Luther King, Jr. Human Rights Commission, Utah Polynesian Professionals, and the Utah Covid-19 Multicultural Task Force. Chand was most recently recognized as 30 Women to Watch by Utah Business in 2021. Her work is also found in Forbes, Bloomberg Law, Medium, Utah Business Magazine, Utah Bankers Association, and Silicon Slopes.

Marie Kulbeth
COO and General Counsel
SixFifty

Marie Kulbeth is SixFifty's Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, as well as co-director of LawX, the legal design lab at BYU Law School. Before SixFifty, Marie served as an assistant dean at BYU Law School, where she founded their legal storytelling project and built a diversity recruiting program. 




Maria P. Tamburri
Director - Diversity and Inclusion and Employee Engagement
Dominion Energy

Maria Pia Tamburri is responsible for leading Dominion Energy's diversity & inclusion and employee engagement programs. She supports and leads employee focused initiatives to foster an engaged, diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace where all employees have opportunity to thrive. Leads the development, distribution, and analysis of the company's biennial employee engagement survey, exit surveys, various pulse surveys, and focus groups. Previously, Maria was senior community engagement policy director. In this role, she led the company's community engagement efforts across Dominion Energy's footprint.
