SBA is launching the third year of InnovateHER, a cash prize competition to showcase the most innovative products and services that impact and empower the lives of women and families
Challenge Criteria
Applicants do not need to be women-owned. Entrepreneurs need to showcase products and services that:
- Have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families
- Have the potential for commercialization
- Fill a need in the marketplace
All entries must include:
- Business plan (maximum length: 20 pages, including attachments)
- Short description of how business/ideas fits challenge criteria

Semi-Final Round
One local winner will be submitted to the semi-final round of the Challenge. The SBA will review the semi-finalist nomination packages and select up to 10 Finalists to be sent to the national finals
National Finals
National Finalists will present a live pitch to a panel of expert judges and compete for up to $70,000 in cash prizes:
1st Place - $40,000;
2nd Place - $20,000; and
3rd Place - $10,000
Competition Timeline
Friday, May 19, 2017: Submission deadline
Thursday, June 1, 2017: Live pitches in SLC
Friday, June 23, 2017: Submission of local winner to semi-final round
September 2017: Final Round (Location: TBD)
