Master Class: The Art of Public Speaking

American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist Warren Buffet said that "mastering the art of public speaking is the single greatest skill to boost your career."

Whether you are a seasoned presenter, a seemingly natural storyteller, or someone who prefers working behind the scenes, you can learn and practice your public speaking skills in this two-part public speaking master class.

The original definition of a master class was "a class, especially in music, given by an expert to highly talented students." Well, your instructor, Beth Wolfer, is more of an expert in coaching than in presenting, but she does offer talks and classes in order to practice what she preaches.

Each of the two-hour sessions will offer not only tips, examples, and dos and don'ts, but also - because really, the only way to improve your public speaking is to do it - exercises and opportunities to practice as we go.

Beth has years of experience coaching speakers for TEDxSaltLakeCity, national conferences, individual presentations, and everything in between.

Your time will be best used if you can come to the class with a one- to two-minute short talk or elevator pitch to hone and shape as you practice your skills, so please prepare ahead of time if you want to get the most out of this opportunity.
