National Civics Bee Utah State Finals

We invite you to attend the 2nd annual National Civics Bee Utah State Finals!

The National Civics Bee is an annual competition that inspires young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. The Salt Lake Chamber is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition. The 2025-26 National Civics Bee encourages. young Americans in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.

The competition, modeled on traditional spelling and geography bees, gives students the chance to win recognition and earn cash prizes by sharing ideas for improving their communities and showing their enthusiasm for civics. The top five finalists from both regional events, hosted by Weber State University and the St. George Chamber of Commerce, will compete at the National Civics Bee Utah State Finals. The winner of the state finals will receive a trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in the national championship in Fall 2026, for the opportunity to win a $100,000 529 education fund.

Below is the map of the Westminster University campus. The event will be held in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall (Building 19 on the map). There is a parking structure directly west of the building (Parking lot B). The map doesn't show it, but there is an entrance to the upper portion of the garage on 1700 South just east of 1200 East.

Although there are signs saying that it is permit parking only, we have been assured that isn't the case.
