10,000 People from 80 Nations and 50 Faith traditions are coming together to "Reclaim the Heart of Our Humanity" at the world's premier interfaith event, the Parliament of the World's Religions. Utahns are invited to this historic event taking place in the United States for the first time in over 20 years with headlining luminaries including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dr. Karen Armstrong, Tavis Smiley, Rev. Jim Wallis, U.S. International Religious Freedom Ambassador Rabbi David Saperstein, Eboo Patel, and five Nobel Peace Laureates. Those gathered will choose from an array of 300 programs including interactive workshops, scholarly panels, artistic exhibitions, films, and training. Utah will host some of the eminint figures of the world's religions as those attending commit with compassion to a world of peace, justice, and sustainability. Programming will highlight and encourage the contributions and experience of women, young people, and indigenous leaders in the interfaith movement. Special features include an indigenous sacred fire, shared and provided lunchtime meals, Sacred Music Night at the Mormon Tabernacle, Film Festival, Youth Programming, and more!
