American Research Bureau’s roots date back to 1935, in the city of Los Angeles, when founder Vincent H. Telling began locating missing and unknown heirs to estates and connecting them with their lawful inheritances. Today, ARB assists heirs, government agencies, the courts, legal professionals, trustees, administrators and executors to document and establish rightful beneficiaries. In 1986, after successfully running the company for over 50 years, Vincent sold the company to one of his leading researchers, Mary E. Schwartz. Under Mary’s leadership, the company continued to grow and provided service to an even greater number of missing and unknown heirs.
Steven Schwartz now leads the company as President. Steve brings an increased emphasis on the client experience, a focus on protecting the integrity of the probate process for all heirs, and has cemented ARB’s place as one of the leading firms in the USA in connecting missing and unknown heirs to their inheritance. ARB’s current research team has over 200 years of combined genealogical and probate research experience and has successfully connected tens of thousands of heirs with their lawful inheritance.
