Salt Lake City International Airport Concessions Information Sessions (Virtual)

The New Salt Lake City International Airport is expanding! The second phase of the Airport Reconstruction Program is underway and is scheduled to open in late 2023.  Phase Two will expand the A concourse to the east, with more gates and concessions.  The public solicitation process for restaurants, gift shops, newsstands, and specialty retail concepts in Phase Two will begin in October 2021. 
 
The Salt Lake Department of Airports is working to get the word out to business owners who are interested in learning about opportunities for businesses at The New SLC.  The Airport is offering several virtual 2-hour public outreach/education workshops to provide information about how the selection process works for businesses wanting to operate at the Airport, as well as the dynamics of operating a business in an airport environment.  Attached is a list of session dates and zoom login information.  This, and more information, can also be found by visiting: Business Services | Salt Lake City International Airport (slcairport.com)
 
The Airport is owned and operated by Salt Lake City Corporation.  As a City department, we will follow the City’s purchasing and procurement rules and regulations as we populate the facilities with food and retail concessions.  We will publish a Request for Proposals (RFP) to initiate the selection process. Proposals for food and retail establishments at The New SLC can only be submitted and accepted during the RFP timeframe, so it is important to not miss the window of opportunity if you are interested.
