The Supervisory Skills Program is a five-day intensive course that provides participants with a foundation of critical skills necessary to become an effective workplace leader. Participants who successfully complete the program will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Van’s career has spanned the disciplines of Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Training and Management Development, and Higher Education for the past 30 years. He has a BA in Communication and a Master’s in Education. A former president of A.S.T.D., his passion is human development, the process of learning, growth and change. Locally, Van has worked with I.H.C., Fidelity Investments, and the Full Circle Group (formerly known as Maxcomm Associates). In his consulting work, Van has been in the trenches with a variety of organizations in the heavy industry and mining, financial services, healthcare, insurance, and manufacturing sectors. He is currently managing his own coaching and training company, Lodestar Inc., and is in partnership with Employers Council to meet the developmental needs of employers throughout Utah.
