September is suicide prevention month. Broadway Media invites your business to partner with us to support suicide prevention in Utah because suicide has quickly become a public health crisis in Utah.
  • Utah ranks 5th in the nation for number of deaths by suicide, per capita.
  • The suicide rate has increased 46.5% since 1999.
  • Utah?s suicide rate is 60% higher than the national average.
  • Suicide is the first leading cause of death for people ages 10-24.
  • Suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 25-44.
  • Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death for people ages 45-54.
  • On average, one person dies by suicide every 14 hours in Utah which equates to 12 suicide deaths per week. 

On Friday, September 7, 2018 all six Broadway Media stations will hold their second joint broadcast from 9 am to 10 am, to talk candidly to our listeners about this serious health crisis in Utah, especially affecting teens and young adults. We will also stream the broadcast live on YouTube, and invite additional media outlets to cover the event and help us spread the word. This is a crisis no one wants to talk about and education provides hope for the hopeless!

We are looking for a sponsor to help us extend our coverage and support of this important cause.

Available Opportunities

:30 On-Air Promotional Support: Broadway Media stations KXRK, KYMV, KEGA, KUUU, KALL and KUDD will promote the joint broadcast with the following on-air support. Your business will receive name mentions in station promos, e.g. 101.5 The Eagle and YOUR BUSINESS encourage you join us on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 9 am to 10 am to discuss a public health crisis in Utah. This will be a message of hope that there is help available!  --  (50) :30 recorded promos per station Total Campaign :30s: (300)  Promotional Value: $15,000
  
Joint Radio Broadcast Sponsorship: Your Business will sponsor a commercial free-hour on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 9 am to 10 am. During this hour, all stations will broadcast jointly a town hall discussion with a panel of experts, families and individuals that have been directly affected by suicide. It will help listeners learn how to spot the warning signs, talk to a friend at risk, or comfort a family member or friend that has experienced a loss by suicide.  
During this one-hour joint broadcast, your business will receive name mentions in (2) :60-second pre-recorded breaks broadcast across all six stations. The :60 will be a message of hope and information as to where people can turn for help, sponsored by your business. Your business will also receive name mentions (4) times throughout the hour, live by various DJs. Promotional Value:  $4,000

Station Websites: Your Business logo will be displayed prominently in a promotional media flipper on the home page of all six station websites. The promotional flipper will link to a landing page, with more information on our joint broadcast and how they can participate and get information on suicide prevention. Our station websites receive over 100,000 unique visitors each month. Promotional Value: $6,000

Video Message From Sponsor: We will showcase a video message from our sponsors and/or DJs (with sponsor name mention), as to why this is a critically important health issue and how people can help. Promotional Value: $500

Mass E-Mail: Once per week for two weeks, we'll send an e-mail blast to our "permissioned" station databases with information on how to listen to the broadcast and/or attend. Email will include logo and link to your website. You'll reach 35,000 emails each week. Total email blasts: 12 Promotional Value:  $2,000

Social Media: Your business will receive exposure on all station social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter. Includes pre-event video and Facebook live. The stations have over 226,000 Facebook Fans, and 40,000 Twitter Followers. Minimum total posts, 4x per week per station. Total posts: 48 Promotional Value: $7,200

Outdoor Billboard: Your Business logo will be displayed on an outdoor digital billboard along the Wasatch Front, bringing awareness to the live broadcast event. One board per week for two weeks. Location to be determined on a weekly basis. Value: $1,500

Broadway Building Marquee: Your Business logo will be displayed on the Broadway Media building digital marquee at 300 South and West Temple, bringing awareness to the live broadcast event, for the two week period. Value: $500
