The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute announces its next Newsmaker Breakfast, a monthly event highlighting important issues impacting Utah.
COVID-19 will leave an indelible signature on Utah for some time to come. No industry has felt the impact of the pandemic more than our leisure and hospitality sector. Prior to March 2020, Utah's travel and tourism industry was set for another record year. Increases in spending, jobs, wages, tax revenue, and visitation were all hallmarks of this vital sector of our economy. Now, the work has begun to rebuild and recover.
October’s Newsmaker Breakfast will focus on the impact COVID-19 has had on Utah’s travel and tourism industry and what the road to recovery will look like in the weeks and months ahead. Hear from local, state, and federal officials on what it will take to return the leisure and hospitality sector to pre-pandemic economic prosperity.
The conversation will be moderated by Gardner Institute director Natalie Gochnour. Media are invited to attend and ask questions.
Please RSVP via ZOOM Meetings as space is limited. A secure ZOOM meeting link will then be sent to those who RSVP.
