The Point Prison Demolition

You are invited to attend a public viewing for the demolition of the old state prison. The viewing will take place on Tuesday, November 29 at 10 a.m. at the north end of the prison complex. The event will also be live streamed on The Point YouTube Channel. 

Crews are scheduled to take down a decades-old prison guard tower, signaling a new chapter in redeveloping the site into Utah’s Innovation Community.

Widely recognized as one of the most important quality-of-life opportunities in state history, The Point consists of 600 acres of state-owned land that will foster innovation and technological advancement, provide parks and open space, support economic opportunity and enhance Utahns’ quality of life.
