Each segment will break down a finance topic, led by one of our female experts. Each class is limited to 15 people, so you can get the most out of your session!

Meet the Speaker!
Shailaja Akkapeddi is an independent consultant specializing in small business counseling and entrepreneurial training and providing capacity building services for nonprofit organizations. She has a special interest in working with marginalized populations including low to moderate income individuals, refugees and New Americans, particularly women. Her work experience includes teaching the Banking on Women class at UMLF, small business counseling at the International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake City, entrepreneurial training at the Women’s Business Institute, Salt Lake Community College as well as developing a nonprofit incubator program for the University Neighborhood Partners, University of Utah.
Shailaja earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Economics from Utah State University. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Mumbai, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. Shailaja is a native of Mumbai, India.
