Welcome! On behalf of the Utah Economic Council and my fellow club officers, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Economic Club of Utah! This newly formed organization will serve as a statewide forum to share research and data, aid in networking with fellow business and state leaders, and encourage business and economic networking opportunities among institutions of higher learning in the state. Like the economic clubs of Chicago, New York and Washington D.C., the Economic Club of Utah will bring together leading economists and business leaders in order to cultivate the next generation of economic leadership. We hope that you will join us for our inaugural event on Monday, March 31 2014, at the David Eccles School of Business on the campus of the University of Utah. We will share more on the vision of this new endeavour, and members of the Utah Economic Council will participate in our innaugural forum on topics ranging from the 2014 Legislative Session, to the current state of the local and national economy and its impact on the business community. Our keynote address will be given by Former Senator Robert F. Bennett, who will share his thoughts on Utah's economy and what we might expect in the future. Thank you once again for your willingness to participate in this exciting new venture, and we look forward to seeing you at the event! Sincerely, Mark Knold President, Economic Club of Utah
