Utah's Premier Economic Forecasting and Public Policy Event

The Utah Economic Outlook and Policy Summit is the state's premier economic forecasting and public policy event that is attended by over 700 business, policy and academic thought leaders from across the state. The summit presents an unrivaled opportunity for attendees to gain insights on the future of Utah's economy and the policy priorities for the upcoming legislative session.

GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY
Governor Romney was the 2012 Republican candidate for the office of President of the United States. He also was a candidate for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination and served as the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 2003 through 2007.

Prior to his time as Governor, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Governor Romney started his career in business in 1978 as a Vice President of Bain & Company, Inc., a management consulting firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1984, he left Bain & Company, Inc., to co-found a spin-off private equity investment company, Bain Capital, where he worked until 1998.

Governor Romney rejoined the board of directors of Marriott International in 2012. He had previously served on their board from 1993 to 2002 and from 2009 to 2011. Governor Romney also serves as Chairman of Solamere Capital?s Executive Partner Group and is on the board of advisors of the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases.
