Youth Summit (for students in grades 7-12): 9:00 AM-12:30 PM - This informative and energetic event will feature guest speakers, musical guests, and more as we inform young people about the dangers of opioid addiction and encourage them to be a part of the solution. General Session: 1:00 PM-5:00 PM - This year's summit will include exciting speakers like Arthur Brooks, Senator Mike Lee, AG Sean Reyes, Bestselling author JD Vance, Becky Savage, Rod Rosenstein, Governor Gary Herbert, Court McGee, Jennifer Plumb, Mary Jo McMillen, and many more. This 2018 Utah Solutions Summit is branded Instead as an invitation and a rallying cry to everyone affected by the deadly scourge of opioid abuse to learn alternatives to turning to opioids for pain, loneliness, and depression, as well as to help show options and opportunities for addressing the crisis. Current treatments, policy, programs, and efforts are simply not enough. We must change how we talk about the underlying issues that lead to addiction and how we support those fighting it.
