WBC: Business Essentials: Hot Global Markets: Trending Industries

This training will provide a snapshot of upcoming business trends in 2015. As the culture, economic landscape and technology changes in our community, it is essential for entrepreneurs and business owners to stay ahead of the game for the changes in the marketplace.


According to Kjaer Global Trends snapshot for 2015, the report outlines several trends including: real-time data and its transformation to the traditional business model, the “circular economy” – a vision to maximize resources and minimize waste to promote green growth, collaborative consumption of workspace and resources to increase social value, and entrepreneurship as a career to encourage start-up communities that will contribute to job creation. About the Presenter


Brian Knox, President of Global Growth, LLC & owner of Global Law. 

Brian's education, experience, and broad international network have enabled him to  advise clients in operations and strategy regarding their international business needs. 


Brian is trained in sales, international business and international law.  He received a Juris Doctorate and an LL.M. (Master of Law) in International and Comparative Law from Duke University.  While practicing law, he obtained a Master of Business Administration from Boise State University.  He also earned a bachelor degree in Technical Sales from Weber State University.


Brian's practice of law includes domestic and international business transactions and litigation.  He has represented international business clients and assembled and managed teams of professionals from across the globe.  He has extensive contacts in Europe, Asia, and Africa and has lived abroad in Germany and Switzerland.  He is extensively traveled and understand diverse cultures, including business customs.  He is fluent in German and is currently studying Hebrew and Spanish.


Brian serves on the Board of Directors of the Utah European Chamber of Commerce and is the Vice-Chairman of the African Chamber of Commerce for Utah.  He is a founding member of The Transatlantic Business Development Group, in which he continues to promote trade between the USA and Europe and develops renewable energy projects in Africa and Europe.


Brian taught courses in public international law, international trade law, and international environmental law as an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho College of Law.He has presented many times on topics of international law and business strategy to trade groups and peers and is currently working on scholarly research regarding international law for publication in business and legal research journals.

Brian is proud to have served as member of the Utah Army National Guard.  He was  a member of the 19th Special Forces Group and the 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion as an airborne infantryman and German Translator/Interpreter.  He was also trained in counterintelligence.


Brian is the father of six beautiful children and the husband of one smoking-hot wife and lives in Centerville, Utah
