World Connections Festival w/ Discovery Gateway

World Connections Festival will be on Saturday, August 5th from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum (444 W 100 S, SLC, UT). The goal of this annual event is to provide an opportunity for our young museum patrons to experience the incredible diversity that we have here in Utah. World Connections Festival places performing groups throughout the museum at different parts of the day. We are looking for performers in the dancing and musical categories primarily.

This year we are hoping to expand the event by having some food and crafts for purchase by our amazing community members. To promote an authentic and inclusive environment within our vibrant community in Utah, we are actively seeking to prioritize artists who identify with traditionally marginalized backgrounds. We believe that embracing and supporting diverse perspectives strengthens our artistic community and fosters a more enriching experience for everyone involved. If you consider yourself from a traditionally marginalized background and have talents in the aforementioned areas, we encourage you to complete our interest form in order to be considered for this event. Please note that completion of the form does not guarantee participation in the event.

This event is also open to the public and is FREE with your museum admission. We hope to see you there!
