WTC Utah Internship Program

 

World Trade Center Utah is now taking applications for our 2026 Summer Internship Program! 

 

Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in international business, nonprofit operations, and economic development? Do you enjoy learning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment?

 

WTC Utah is seeking motivated and curious individuals to join our Summer Internship Cohort Program. This full-time, cohort-based internship provides rotational experience across departments, allowing interns to contribute to meaningful projects while developing a broad understanding of global trade and organizational operations.

 

Interns will support a variety of functional areas while participating in structured learning experiences, mentorship opportunities, and leadership engagement sessions.

WTC Utah works with companies across the state to provide international opportunities, develop global strategies, and connect Utah to markets worldwide. Our organization is built on collaboration across Global Business Services, International Programs, Marketing and Partnerships, and Finance and Administration.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in assignments across multiple departments, including Business Advisory Services, International Programs, Marketing, Partnerships, Finance, and Administration
  • Support operational and project-based tasks such as research, data entry, reporting, event coordination, and administrative support
  • Assist with preparation of materials for events, trade programs, and stakeholder engagements
  • Conduct research and compile data related to international markets, industries, and business trends
  • Provide event support, including logistics coordination, setup, and on-site assistance
  • Maintain and update records in internal systems (e.g., CRM platforms, shared files, tracking tools)
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to support organizational initiatives
  • Participate in professional development programming, including leadership sessions, workshops, and team presentations
  • Complete individual and/or group projects and present outcomes at the conclusion of the program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program

 

  • Strong interest in international business, economic development, nonprofit work, or related fields
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

 

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

  • Coursework or experience in business, economics, marketing, international studies, or related disciplines
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Interest in global trade, public policy, or economic development

 

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

  • Dates: May 11 – August 7
  • Format: Full-time
  • Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Cohort: Limited, selective program
  • Mentorship from department leaders and staff
  • Participation in leadership sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities
