Garrett Harding is Associate Director of Community Outreach at Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. In this role he plans, implements, evaluates, and directs HCI's community outreach and engagement activities, working in collaboration with community partners to build capacity for projects that reduce and address the cancer burden in Utah. Since 2010, he has won numerous awards for his contribution to the health and campus communities, including the University of Utah Staff Excellence Award and the Utah Public Health Hero Award. In addition to his full-time job, he serves as Vice Chair of the Utah Tobacco Free Alliance and on the Boards of Directors for Camp Hobé and the Utah Radon Coalition. Outside of work he cooks for friends and family, reads, plays tennis and golf, hikes, and advocates for social justice and equality.
