About Us

Weber Basin Water Conservancy District is a regional water supplier for 5 counties, north of Salt Lake, including Davis, Weber, Summit, Morgan, and a portion of Box Elder Counties. The District wholesales drinking water to every municipal water system in their service area. The District also delivers agricultural water, industrial water and secondary irrigation water. Weber Basin Water Conservancy District was created on June 26, 1950 by a decree of the Second District Court of Utah and under the guidelines of the Utah Water Conservancy District Act. The District is the manager and operator of the federal Weber Basin Project which includes large dams and reservoirs, along with hundreds of miles of pipelines, canals and tunnels.
